Student answer (Band 5.0)
In fast-paced world, modernisation is taking over old equipments such as communication is getting faster as well as competition in business world and in an education. Although many countries such as Japan is already living in its 2050, with artificial intelligence(AI) technology and disciplined environment. However, other best time in history would be living with almost 80% of AI technologies. I think the time period in which we are living is the most beautiful and relaible. This essay intends to give explanation about the present generation and the future generation.
To commence with, one of the major reasons would be increase in an efficiency of technologies. With the invention of wireless internet and reliable network, many individuals can communicate with near and dear ones on video call or facetime regardless of place, location and at any edge of the world. Moreover, there is a growing competition in business world as well as educational world, as each and every candidates want to graduate from well-reputed universities around the world. If people started thinking about future headaches then they ruin enjoyment of the present moments. For example, sometimes people afraid to initiate something new thinking first about results , this way they get off-track from the path of success.
According to the advancement in technologies, many individuals predict that in near future artificial intelligence will overtake manmade things. In many multispecilaity hospitals around the world, they already implemented robotic surgeries and diagnostic equipments. There are plethora of advantages; firstly, it is programmed by well-known doctors and less time consuming and secondly, no longer wait for emergency cases. On the other hand, the automated kitchen appliances will work on single command. For example, roti mkaer which eases stress of housewives.
To conclude, I think living in present moments teaches you to focus on what really matters rather than creating false assumptions. Apart from that if Al comeover will be troublesome in case of an employment and job market.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt only partially, fulfilling the criteria for this band. While the writer attempts to answer both parts of the task—discussing the present day as a great time to live and exploring future AI-driven eras—the ideas remain limited and under-developed. For instance, the discussion on business competition and future AI hospitals is introduced with brief examples like 'roti maker' or 'robotic surgeries,' but these points are not sufficiently extended or connected deeply to the prompt's core question. The position is sometimes unclear, particularly in the introduction where the thesis statement is muddled with confusing expressions such as 'Japan is already living in its 2050.' To reach a higher level, the writer needs to fully develop each main idea with well-supported arguments and maintain a clearer, more consistent stance throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation evident in the text, with clear paragraph breaks and attempts at sequencing ideas, such as using 'To commence with' and 'To conclude.' However, the overall progression lacks clarity, and the logical flow is frequently disrupted. Cohesive devices are at times inadequate, inaccurate, or mechanically applied. For example, 'However, other best time in history would be living...' introduces a sharp transition that creates confusion rather than coherence. Referencing is also unclear in places, such as in the concluding paragraph where 'Al comeover' is grammatically disjointed and fails to link smoothly back to previous arguments. To improve, the writer should ensure that sentences and paragraphs transition more naturally, using cohesive devices accurately and maintaining a clear progression of ideas from introduction to conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The lexical resource displayed is limited but minimally adequate to convey the basic message. The writer uses some vocabulary relevant to the topic, such as 'modernisation,' 'artificial intelligence,' and 'multispecilaity hospitals.' However, there are noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and word form that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Examples include 'old equipments' (uncountable noun misuse), 'relaible' (spelling error), 'each and every candidates' (agreement error), and 'Al comeover' (incorrect lexical coinage). Less common vocabulary is attempted with limited success. To achieve a higher band score, the writer must expand their lexical repertoire, pay closer attention to word forms and collocations, and eliminate spelling mistakes to ensure smoother communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response demonstrates a limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside frequent attempts at complex forms that are often faulty. There are noticeable errors in grammar and punctuation throughout the text that cause difficulty and hesitation for the reader. Examples of grammatical lapses include article omissions and misuses ('In fast-paced world,' 'in an education,' 'in business world'), preposition errors ('at any edge of the world'), and faulty verb structures ('people afraid to initiate'). Punctuation errors, such as awkward comma splices and spaces before commas, also detract from control. To progress, the writer needs to demonstrate better control over complex sentence patterns, improve subject-verb agreement, and refine the accuracy of basic grammatical elements such as articles and prepositions.
