Student answer (Band 5.5)
Few people think that current time is the best time one can ever live in this world. For the matter of fact, they are not completely wrong. In this essay, I will outline various reasons for this views while discussing other great era to be living, and will give my opinion in the end.
First and foremost, we are in the century of technology which makes the living fun and convinient on same time. From kitchen to living room, life is full of appliances. Transportaion is not a big concern now. For example, one can attend two meeting in two different countries on a same day just because of the airplanes and bullet trains. Video calls, mobiles and social media brings the people very close. Families do not need to wait for few days to receive the birthday or anniversy letters. People are not afraid of exploring the world because of maps, google, internet, and online tranfers of money. For an instance, language translation application make conversations so easy that person can feel and enjoy other non-native places with full confidence.
However, the stone age can be also a good era to live with-in. It was full of adventure and life. Apes were hunting for food, living in caves and exploring the new things for growth. Curiostiy and rawness of living make that time attractive to be living. People at that time did not have any property or houses which help them live more carefree. They took a risks, showed courage and lived a life that cannot be even imagined by today's generation. For example, stone age people invented fire by rubbing two stones togather which placed the foundation of the era currently world is living.
In conclusion, current time can be the best of the history since humans are more evolved in terms of technology, science and conviniences. Although, I strongly believe that future century will be more interesting and exclusive for living because of the more advancements.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you explain why the present is advantageous, then identify the Stone Age as another period that might be interesting. Your examples about air travel, video calls and translation apps support the modern-life argument, while fire-making gives the historical paragraph a relevant detail. However, the opinion is not fully clear at the start: the introduction says you will give it “in the end,” and the conclusion shifts to saying the future will be more interesting, rather than clearly resolving whether you agree that now is the best time. The Stone Age discussion is also less developed and relies on broad claims about carefree living and adventure. State your position consistently and explain the drawbacks or appeal of the alternative era more carefully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph about modern life, a contrasting paragraph about the Stone Age, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “First and foremost,” “However,” and “In conclusion” make the main stages easy to follow. Within paragraphs, examples generally relate to the central point. Some connections are less clear or mechanical, though. The opening promises to discuss “various reasons for this views,” but the essay does not clearly signal how the reasons are grouped, and the conclusion introduces the future without preparing for that shift. The long list of modern conveniences also reads as a sequence of separate points. Use clearer topic sentences and connect examples to each other and to your main position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of vocabulary relevant to technology and historical life, including “appliances,” “exploring,” “foundation,” and “advancements.” This is enough to communicate the main ideas, and several examples are specific. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, such as “convinient,” “Transportaion,” “togather,” and “online tranfers.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise: “the living fun,” “other non-native places,” and “exclusive for living” do not express the intended meaning clearly. Aim for accurate collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, “convenient,” “transportation,” and “online transfers” are standard forms; “foreign destinations” would be clearer than “non-native places.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause (“just because of the airplanes and bullet trains”) and a contrast introduced by “Although.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. Examples include “this views” instead of a plural possessive form, “two meeting” instead of “two meetings,” and “Video calls, mobiles and social media brings” where the plural subject requires a plural verb. Articles and sentence construction also need attention in phrases such as “on same time” and “that person can feel.” Review subject–verb agreement, articles, and plural nouns, then proofread each sentence. More accurate control of these patterns would make your varied sentence attempts clearer and more reliable.
