Student answer (Band 5.0)
A group of society claims that currently we are living in eutopian era of the human history and is the best of all time. According to me, this statement reflects my complete perception towards modern era. From medical science, accessibility to the connectivity within the society across globe has seen astounding progress unlike older times.
In past two centuries alone, homo sapiens have evolved a lot. In my opinion, access to information and research of different studies to people have enabled a knowledgable society. Individuals now has access and are becoming engineers, medical professionals and policy makers. Earlier, majority of human life was threatened by mere disease. Historians have noted that millions of people lost their lives because of lake of medicine.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
Your position is clear: you agree that the present is the best era, and you begin to support this with progress in medicine, information and connectivity. However, the response addresses only the first question. It does not identify another historical period that would be interesting to live in, nor explain why. The supporting ideas are also brief: for example, the claim that access to research has enabled people to become professionals is not developed with a specific example or explanation. The response is substantially below the required minimum length, which leaves the task only minimally addressed. To improve, answer both questions explicitly and develop each reason with explanation and a relevant example before concluding your opinion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic progression from your opinion to reasons about modern life, and paragraphing begins to separate the introduction from supporting points. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, the response ends abruptly at “Furthermore, technological,” so the final point is incomplete and there is no conclusion or overall development. The relationship between some ideas is also not fully explained: the move from access to information to people becoming engineers, medical professionals and policy makers needs a clearer logical link. Because the response is so short, it does not establish a coherent progression across the whole essay. Plan a paragraph for each part of the question, use clear topic sentences, and finish with a conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt some topic-specific and less common vocabulary, including “accessibility,” “astounding progress,” “policy makers” and “threatened,” which helps communicate your ideas about modern society. However, several choices or forms are inaccurate or awkward, such as “eutopian era,” “lake of medicine” and “a knowledgable society.” “Connectivity to the connectivity” is also unclear, and “homo sapiens” sounds unnecessarily technical in this context. These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your general position, but they limit precision and naturalness. Aim for accurate collocations and check spelling and word forms; for example, use “utopian era,” “lack of medicine” and “a well-informed society.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple statements and attempts at more complex structures, such as “Earlier, majority of human life was threatened by mere disease.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but errors in agreement, articles and sentence construction are noticeable. For example, “Individuals now has access” should use a plural verb, while “majority of human life” needs an article and a more suitable construction. The opening sentence also has an unclear structure: “claims that currently we are living … and is the best” does not clearly connect the subject to the second claim. The first sentence of the second paragraph shifts awkwardly between past and present perfect. Practise building complete, controlled sentences and check subject–verb agreement, articles and tense consistency.
