Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is common perspective of some people that current time period is the best time to live in. In my opinion, due to the starting point of the advanced technology, this is definitely my preferred time period of living. Besides this, going through the era when the language was developed would also be an interesting one.

There are numerous considerable factors that why people state that this is the perfect time in the history to be living. The major one in my view is to watching the beginning point of Artificial Intelligence, known as AI. Since the last dacade, the technology is getting more and more advanced. The world has started using AI in education, workplaces and houses in order to receive in-depth knowledge, productivity and helping-hand in household chaoes, respectively. In 1900s, a few people were present to provide services, and some treatments were uncurable; however, now treatments are available for almost every disease and AI can also assist to get some treatments at home with this assistance of home-remedies. Consequently, being a spectator of advancment technology is quite fascinating for some individuals.

Apart from this, the another best time of history to be lived in would be when the first language was invented. Scientists have claimed that before the inventention of the languages, signals, signs and images were used to communicate. Several artifacts were discovered by them, where they have found written illegible characters in caves or rocks, and studies to understand them are still undergone. When humans start using specific alphabets and digits instead of signs would be the an extremely interesting time to be seen by own eyes. As a result, people would know the process of devewloping world's first language.

In conclusion, although the current starting era of Artificial Intelligence is the perfect time to watch, seeing development of the initial language could be alluring too.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: you favour the present because of advances in technology and identify the emergence of language as another period you would like to experience. Both parts of the prompt are addressed, and examples such as AI in education and the use of signs before written language help make the ideas relevant. The discussion of the present is more developed, while the historical period is less certain: the account of how language began relies on broad claims and does not explain what you personally would hope to learn or observe. Some claims about AI and medical treatment are also asserted rather than supported. To strengthen the response, explain the significance of each example and develop the second choice to a similar depth.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states both choices, two body paragraphs discuss them separately, and a conclusion restates the preference. This makes the main progression easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “Besides this,” “Apart from this,” and “In conclusion.” However, some connections feel mechanical or unclear. For example, “There are numerous considerable factors that why” does not introduce the following point smoothly, and “Consequently” does not clearly show how the medical examples lead to the stated conclusion. The second paragraph also shifts from early communication to artifacts and then to alphabets without fully explaining the links. Use simpler, more precise transitions and make each paragraph’s sequence of reasons explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “Artificial Intelligence,” “productivity,” “artifacts,” and “communicate,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. There are also attempts at less common expressions, but inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the message less natural. Examples include “starting point of the advanced technology,” “household chaoes,” “uncurable,” and “development of the initial language.” Some phrases, such as “the another best time,” are also awkward. Aim for accurate, natural combinations rather than more elaborate wording: for instance, describe technology as “rapidly advancing” and refer to “household chores.” Proofreading spelling and checking collocations would make your vocabulary more effective.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple statements and attempts at complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “Since” and “although,” and the overall meaning remains understandable. However, control is uneven, particularly in longer sentences. Examples include “There are numerous considerable factors that why people state,” where the clause structure is faulty, and “The major one in my view is to watching,” where the verb pattern is incorrect. Articles and agreement also need attention in phrases such as “the another best time” and “When humans start using … would be.” These errors, alongside some awkward sentence construction, limit accuracy. Practise building complex sentences around a clear main clause, and check verb forms, articles, and agreement before submitting.
