Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some individual say that currently is the best time in hsitory to be lived. In my opinion i agree to this scenario beacause living now is so cool and it is like you are living in the future,Many of us now live in the advance technology like many gudgets,tv and computers etc.something like even your loved ones is far away from you or working abroad it easy to communicate beacause it is high technology now you can call her anytime and anywhere using internet in mobile phone, you can wath in your house TV like in the cinema beacause smart TV is availble and you can send money via bank transfer or Gcash now e- wallets in yous phone something like that we are now inthe generation of high technolgy. But i can say there is the best other time to live something like in the future beacause many of thing are not discovered but Elon Musk is in progress to her project we call it super car the first car in human history that could fly and if you live in the future you can experience what i imagined, many of cars in the sky or in clouds where flying it is possible because it is no limit of dicovery that humankind have made.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear opinion that the present is a good time to live, and you support it with relevant examples such as communicating with loved ones, using smart TVs, and transferring money by phone. You also identify the future as another interesting period and imagine flying cars. However, the discussion is brief and the ideas are mostly listed rather than explained; for example, you do not say in detail why these technologies make life better or what challenges might accompany them. The task requires at least 250 words, and this response is 37 words short. Develop both parts with fuller explanations and a specific example or consequence for each main point.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic overall order: it first discusses the present and then turns to the future with “But.” This helps the reader recognise the two parts of your answer. However, most of the first section is one very long sentence, so several examples run together and the relationships between them are not always clear. The second section also moves quickly from Elon Musk’s project to a general image of cars in the sky. Use separate paragraphs for the two time periods, divide long sentences, and connect each example to the main idea with clear transitions such as “For instance” and “As a result.”

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant everyday vocabulary for the topic, including “communicate,” “internet,” “bank transfer,” and “discovered,” so the main message can be understood. However, the range is limited and some words or phrases are repeated, particularly “something like” and “because.” Several spelling errors, including “hsitory,” “gudgets,” and “availble,” are noticeable, while phrases such as “the advance technology” and “best other time” are not natural in this context. Build a wider set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling and collocations. More precise wording would make your examples about modern technology and future transport clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to express connected ideas using clauses, for example when explaining that loved ones may be far away and that people can contact them by phone. However, the response relies heavily on long, loosely joined sentences, and errors in sentence boundaries and punctuation often make the meaning harder to follow. There are also frequent problems with agreement and sentence structure, as in “Some individual say” and “it easy to communicate,” as well as inconsistent capitalisation of “I.” Practise writing shorter complete sentences first, then combine them accurately using conjunctions. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation before submitting.
