Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this modern era, the group of persons are assumed life is much easier nowdays than the before because they can enjoy any amenties by single call of their device which was not possible in the past.I will explain my views as well about how we can feel if we live in different centuries.
By the technical innovations human life became a
much more conviennent than past there is no discussion on this matter.Because, humans know everthing about a globe while sitting at a home as well they can stay connected with their loved ones by their devices which is a huge development. For instance,in the past, they did not have a any mode of transport for travelling which they can use for covering a long distance especially they were unable to go internationly from their cities or a town which is major setback.Furthermore, human can get cure a deadly illness by modern hospitals.
On the other hand, in the centuries ago,i can understand human did not have a technology for using but there was a slow paced life which holds a strong peace because with the advancemnts in the modern era stress and anxiety are also incresed which is less common in the centuries ago or might be anyone did not heard some type of things. For example, at that time human had their traditinal values instead of now.
In the conclusion, human has a easy access of any their need which is fruitful thing but nowdays stress and anxiety is higher than the past.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You give a general opinion that modern life is easier because of technology, healthcare and communication, and you also recognise a possible benefit of earlier times: a slower pace and greater peace. These points are relevant, but the response only partly fulfils the task. The question asks which other historical period would be interesting to live in; you do not identify a particular century or explain why you would choose it. Your examples about transport and modern hospitals support the comparison, but remain broad, and the claim that people in the past had stronger traditional values is not explained. State your position directly and develop a specific historical period with a clear reason and example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, a paragraph about modern advantages, a contrast with earlier life, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “For instance,” “Furthermore,” and “On the other hand” help signal examples and contrast. However, the overall progression is not always clear: the introduction promises to discuss living in different centuries, but the body never names one, and the conclusion mainly repeats the modern-versus-past comparison. Some connections are awkward or unclear, particularly the shift from transport to healthcare and the final point about traditional values. Organise the body around distinct, fully explained points and use references that make the relationship between each idea explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “technical innovations,” “connected,” “deadly illness,” and “stress and anxiety.” This gives you a basic range for comparing modern and past life. However, vocabulary is often repetitive or inaccurately chosen, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “amenities by single call,” “a huge development,” and “a major setback,” where the intended meaning or collocation is unclear. There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, such as “nowdays,” “conviennent,” “advancemnts,” and “traditinal.” Build accuracy by learning common topic collocations and checking spelling, and choose precise terms rather than relying on broad phrases such as “things” or “a type of things.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a contrast introduced by “On the other hand.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty, so the reader has to work to understand some ideas. For example, “the group of persons are assumed life is much easier” has problems with sentence structure and agreement, while “human can get cure a deadly illness” has errors in articles and verb patterns. Missing or misplaced punctuation also makes several sentences run together, as in the opening paragraph. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries.
