Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this essay we are going to discuss of a claim that some people say that we live in our best lives comparing it with the history of mankind.we will discuss about what this claim is in talks and we will see if its true and comparing it with the old and present day. After this I will share my thoughts on it with my reasons and will conclude it with some examples.

If we look at this opinion that we are living in our best days, we should have to see different aspects of lives that contain Health, food, knowledge etc.People before us had to spent their time in moving from one place to another because they do not have transportations like we used to have these day .They are struggling in feeding their children, most of their new born not survived because of food. Its really hard for them to get knowledge from where they are at and we are living in an era where we can learn anything what we want with the help of Computer and Artificial Intelligence.

Lets explore more to these facts one by one.Lets start with the health, our forefathers struggles to get better health facilities what we have .We have seen great progress in healthcare sector, we know more about the health what our offsprings does not knew its all because of the great research and progress we have seen in this particular sector.

We can easily feed our children because of great improvement in food production we can see researchers in agriculture sectors now grow food in dryland and verticle farming are also popular in urban places.before that its really hard to grow food specially in areas like middle east the problem is not solved but still there are significan improvement in this area as well.

The last and also very important perameter is the knowledge, we can learn from any where and almost anything all we need is just a computer and an internet.we can go and find the subject of our interest and the best teacher of that particular subject and we can learn from them.It really help the menkind to grow their knowledge and apply it for the advancements of future generation to come.

With being said, i am supporting this statement that we should be thankful to the creator that we live in an era where we do not need to go for hardships in basic life utilities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

Your position is clear by the end: you support the view that the present is a good time to live, and you give relevant reasons involving healthcare, food production and access to knowledge. However, the response addresses the task only partially because it does not answer the second question: you do not identify any other historical period that would be interesting to live in or explain why. The opening also spends considerable space announcing what the essay will discuss rather than presenting your view directly. Several claims, such as that people today do not face hardships in basic necessities, are broad and would benefit from qualification or a specific example. Address both questions explicitly and develop each reason with a concrete illustration.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs on health, food and knowledge, and a concluding statement. The sequence of these topics is easy to follow, and phrases such as “Lets start with the health” signal the next point. However, progression is sometimes mechanical, with repeated announcements such as “Lets explore more” and “The last and also very important parameter.” The introduction promises a comparison with another historical period, but the essay never provides one, weakening the overall connection between its parts and the task. Some sentences also run together, making relationships between ideas less clear. Use clearer paragraph links, reduce signposting, and ensure the conclusion reflects all the points actually discussed.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “healthcare sector,” “food production,” “agriculture” and “artificial intelligence,” which helps communicate the main areas of comparison. There are also attempts at more specific expressions such as “vertical farming” and “basic life utilities.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or awkward, as in “best lives,” “struggling in feeding their children,” and “learn anything what we want.” Spelling errors such as “perameter,” “verticle” and “significan” are noticeable, and repeated words like “great” and “progress” limit precision. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common word partnerships, then choose more exact terms rather than relying on general praise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with subordinate clauses, for example, “because of great improvement in food production” and “where we can learn anything.” This shows some effort to vary sentence forms. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to read. Examples include “we should have to see,” “our forefathers struggles,” and “most of their new born not survived.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly where full stops are missing between ideas. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, past-tense forms and clause construction, and divide long strings of ideas into complete sentences. Proofreading for capitals and punctuation would also improve clarity.
