Student answer (Band 5.5)
In contemporary era, it is an undeniable fact that technology has made the life to easy and convinient. According to some individuals current time is reliable time to live, this has become a subject of considerable debate. In my opinion, the crime rate and unethical activities of modern world is a serious issue to be resolved. The combination of advancement in today's world with ethics of back in time would be a great option to live.
Although it is been considered that technology have made everyone's life so convinient and independent, still mental peace is still missing from their daily life. In past times, people were closed to their loved one not their gadgets as today. Youngsters are not intrested in following their tradition and culture beacuse social media apps have stimulated their mind. therefore, there is no social connection among individuals these days. Moreover, publlic safety has become a serious issue specially in metropolitan cities. Everyday a news come with brutal crimes of like murder, stabbing, confidentiality breach, etc. Living within secured environment has become a dream life of poor people. However, in past time crime was not a challenge. Everybody was helpful and kind, as well as societies used to live like a single family. Cultural exchange was so convinient. Life standard of all the families was so established.
In conclusion, according to me if society ethics can be enforced in today's world, then this combination can ease the human life and will enhance the human safety as well. Government should take some steps towards this to make a todays world better for everyone.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear general view: you question whether modern life is best because of crime and reduced social connection, and you suggest combining present-day technology with past social values. However, the task’s second question asks which other historical period would be interesting to live in, and you do not identify a specific period. Your references to “past times” remain broad, and claims such as “crime was not a challenge” are not supported with a concrete example. The discussion of technology and safety is relevant, but several points are asserted rather than explained. To strengthen the response, name a particular era, explain what would make it appealing, and develop your comparisons with specific examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an introduction, a main paragraph and a conclusion, and the reader can follow its broad contrast between modern life and the past. Linking expressions such as “Although,” “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help signal relationships between ideas. However, the main paragraph moves quickly from technology and family relationships to crime, safety and cultural exchange, so the progression is not consistently clear. Some connections are also awkward or repetitive, as in “still mental peace is still missing.” The conclusion repeats the proposed combination without adding a clear summary of which historical period you would choose. Organise the body around distinct points, use clearer links between them, and ensure each paragraph advances the answer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “considerable debate,” “mental peace,” “public safety” and “cultural exchange,” and you communicate your main concerns about technology and crime. However, the range is uneven, with repeated general words such as “life,” “people” and “convenient,” and several inaccurate or unnatural choices make parts less clear. For example, “reliable time to live” does not express the intended idea naturally, while “confidentiality breach” is an unusual example in a list of violent crimes. Spelling errors such as “convinient,” “intrested” and “publlic” are also noticeable. Aim for precise topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex sentence forms, including the opening contrast beginning “Although” and the conditional sentence in the conclusion. However, the range is limited and errors occur frequently, sometimes making the intended meaning harder to follow. Examples include “technology have made” instead of subject–verb agreement, “it is been considered” instead of a correct passive form, and “the crime rate and unethical activities … is” where the subject requires a plural verb. Articles and sentence construction also need attention, as in “made the life to easy” and “Everyday a news come.” Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build longer sentences while checking verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation.
