Dear Sam,

I hope you are doing well. Thank you for your letter. I understand that you are confused about whether to go to college or start working. In my opinion, getting a job would be a better choice for you.

I don't think you would enjoy college because you have always preferred practical work to studying. I remember that you often said you found long lectures boring and enjoyed learning by doing rather than reading textbooks. College might not match your interests or learning style.

I believe getting a job is a good idea because it will help you gain valuable work experience, become financially independent, and develop important skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. You can also decide later if you want to continue your education while working.

Since you are friendly and confident, I think you would do well in customer service, sales, retail, or office administration. You are also good with computers, so an entry-level IT support job could be a great option.
