Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Ema,
I hope this email finds you well. I'm writing this letter to share my thoughts about getting a job beside taking further courses.
As you know, after my bachloer's of physiotherapy I did my post graduation in which I spend almost $20,000 for two year course which was not worth it, because the classes was just for 2 days per week, four hours a day. With that, you just need to submit assignements which you can do by using artifical intelligence , no plagrisum check by the collage.
After all that, when I was looking for the job after finishing my course, I got full time job as a physiotherapist in clinic on bases of my bachloer's degree not on bases of PG course. So, I believe beside wasting time or money on courses and taking theortical knowledge, it's worth it to come on praactical world and taking work experience in real field.By gaining work experience, you can take promotions and chances to earn a lot of money.
As your educational background is bussiness management, I think beside taking more certificates it will be more beneficial if apply in international technology or business company and use your theortical plus practical experience in any company. I believe, you do not have work experience yet, so you can apply as a starter.
I look forward to hearing from you soon. Let me know if you need any further assistance, I will love to help you.
Warm Regards,
Simran Gill.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all three bullet points of the task. You clearly explain why college might not be enjoyable, provide a rationale for choosing work, and suggest suitable roles. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend. However, the development of ideas is slightly uneven; while your personal anecdote about physiotherapy is detailed, the advice regarding business management is a bit generic. To reach a higher band, ensure that the advice provided is fully tailored to the friend's specific situation with more depth in the reasoning provided for the suggested job types.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a closing. You use some cohesive devices such as 'After all that', 'So', and 'As your educational background is', which help the flow of ideas. However, the transition between the personal anecdote and the advice for the friend could be smoother. Some of the paragraphing is a bit cluttered, and the use of cohesive devices is occasionally mechanical. Improving the variety of linking words would help the text flow more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'theoretical knowledge', 'practical world', and 'educational background'. However, there are several spelling errors (e.g., 'bachloer's', 'assignements', 'artifical', 'plagrisum', 'collage', 'bussiness', 'theortical', 'praactical') that occur frequently. While these do not impede communication, they are noticeable and affect the overall impression. To improve, focus on proofreading for common spelling mistakes and try to incorporate more precise collocations to enhance the sophistication of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as 'I believe beside wasting time or money on courses... it's worth it to come on practical world'. There are several grammatical inaccuracies, such as 'the classes was' (subject-verb agreement), 'on bases of' (preposition error), and 'I will love to help you' (tense/modal usage). While these errors are frequent, they rarely impede the reader's understanding. To achieve a higher band, you should work on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions and articles.
