IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You recently received a letter from a friend asking for advice about whether to go to college or to try to get a job. You think he/she should get a job.

Write a letter to this friend. In your letter

• say why he/she would not enjoy going to college
• explain why getting a job is a good idea for him/her
• suggest types of job that would be suitable for him/her

Dear Shreya,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to you to give you some advise for getting a job rather than going to college.

I think you would not enjoy the college, as the place you are expecting you will not find in your countryside area. Moreover, you already have a degree in the marketing so you can opt for making a career in it instead go to university again.

Moreover, I heard that your dad passed away last month. That is why, if you are getting a job in a company in a good post your family will get a good support as you are the only breadwinner of the house.

I would suggest you to get a job in marketing area but you are good in teaching too so you can also look into that area for hunting job.
