Dear Sachin,

i am writing to reply your last letter i recieved i just want to mention going to a college is not suitable. because, getting enrolled in academics now will affect your financial situation.

In additions, I'd recommend you to get a job is good option it will help you to earn some good money and you can support your family. Furthermore, it will benefit you to gain experience which you can use in your resume in the future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task: explaining why college is unsuitable, why a job is a good idea, and suggesting a specific type of job. Your position is clear throughout the letter. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat limited. For example, while you mention that college would affect your friend's 'financial situation,' you could have expanded on this by mentioning the high cost of tuition or the opportunity cost of not earning an income. Similarly, the suggestion for a data entry job is relevant, but adding more detail about why this specific role suits your friend's personality or long-term goals would have made the response more persuasive and fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter follows a logical progression, moving from the negative aspects of college to the benefits of employment and finally to a specific job recommendation. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In additions,' 'Furthermore,' and 'Moreover' to link your ideas. However, there are issues with the mechanical use of these devices. 'In additions' is grammatically incorrect, and the punctuation surrounding your connectors is inconsistent. Paragraphing is present, but the transition between the second and third paragraphs is slightly abrupt. Improving the variety of your linking words and ensuring they are punctuated correctly would significantly enhance the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'eligible candidate,' 'reference,' and 'financial situation.' However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and minor errors, such as 'reply your last letter' (should be 'reply to') and 'benefit you to gain experience' (should be 'help you gain'). The phrase 'in the scenerio' is also misused. While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher band scores. Focusing on correct collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing will help you improve in this area.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that occasionally distract the reader. For example, there are issues with capitalization ('i', 'even'), missing prepositions ('reply your last letter'), and run-on sentences or comma splices ('...is not suitable. because, getting...'). Additionally, there are punctuation errors such as 'I;d' instead of 'I'd' and 'I ll' instead of 'I'll'. While these errors do not prevent the message from being understood, they indicate a need for more careful proofreading and a better grasp of sentence boundaries and basic grammatical conventions.
