IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You recently received a letter from a friend asking for advice about whether to go to college or to try to get a job. You think he/she should get a job.

Write a letter to this friend. In your letter

• say why he/she would not enjoy going to college
• explain why getting a job is a good idea for him/her
• suggest types of job that would be suitable for him/her

Dear Anu,

I hope you're doing well. Getting back to you with my advice that you

asked for. I believe that you should try to find a job rather than going

back to school.

I think that you'd not enjoy going to school as you will go to college as you just completed your master's in Biology, off course which is a tough subject. So, its better if you''ll give yourself some gap from studies.

I suggest that getting a job is a good idea for you. This will not only help to get rid of boredom but also you can earn some money for your future tution fees.

I advice you to find a job in biology sector as it would be great match for you because you can use your past experience that you gained during your field placement. I think that jobs such as biology teacher in a school or working in laboratory would be benefical for you.
