Student answer (Band 6.0)
Hey Riya,
I am writing a letter to inform you about that, yesterday I got your letter in which you wrote that you are so confuse whether to go college or try to get job. So mt answer would be that you should try to get job for better higher opportunities and growth in your life. on the other hand, that you were thinking to go college i think it is not worth it because you already did you graduation in interior designing with very higher percentage .
I would definitely say getting a job will be more helpful for you because that will make you finically independent and working with good company will help you to expand your skills while your are working.
I can suggest you some types of companies that you can apply in such as TATA company, INDIA industries and Robby interior and exterior company you can go and apply there for you better further. Although best thing is they are accepting fresher
Yours loveingly,
Nancy Nancy

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response covers all parts of the task satisfactorily. You successfully addressed the friend's dilemma by advising against further college, explaining the benefits of getting a job, and suggesting suitable companies/types of work. For instance, you stated that college is unnecessary because she already has 'graduation in interior designing with very higher percentage' and recommended applying to companies like 'Robby interior and exterior company'. However, some ideas are slightly under-developed or informal in presentation, such as the reasoning behind not enjoying college, which prevents the response from reaching the highest bands. Overall, your position is clear and the communication fulfills the general purpose of the letter effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter maintains a reasonably coherent overall arrangement, although the progression of ideas can sometimes feel a bit mechanical due to phrasing like 'I am writing a letter to inform you about that' and 'on the other hand'. Paragraphing is used to separate the different points (the opening dilemma, the benefits of working, and specific job suggestions), which helps the reader follow your argument. However, referencing and cohesive ties are occasionally clumsy or overused, such as 'for you better further'. While logical organisation is evident, more precise connectors and smoother transitions would elevate the coherence of the text to a higher level.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your message clearly. You attempted some less common vocabulary and industry-specific terms such as 'interior designing', 'finically' (intended as financially), and 'fresher'. However, there are noticeable word-choice and spelling errors that affect precision, for instance, 'so confuse' instead of 'confused', and 'higher percentage' rather than 'high marks' or 'top grades'. Despite these inaccuracies, communication is not impeded, and the range of vocabulary is sufficient to meet the basic communicative demands of a general training task.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You attempted a mix of simple and complex sentence forms throughout the letter, such as the conditional-style structure in 'I would definitely say getting a job will be more helpful for you because that will make you finically independent'. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are several errors in tense, word form, and prepositions, such as 'I am writing a letter to inform you about that, yesterday I got your letter', 'whether to go college', and 'while your are working'. Punctuation and capitalisation also need attention, particularly with names and sentence boundaries. These errors cause some distraction for the reader, placing the response firmly in the mid-band range.
