It is not only to boost your knowledge but also helpful for you to become financially independent in your life. I also know that your family is also suffering from financial issues. You can easily help them by getting a new job.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response covers all bullet points required by the prompt. Nasreen adopts an appropriate semi-formal letter-writing tone and successfully addresses Jim by offering clear advice against going to college and in favor of getting a job. She explains why further education might not be enjoyable or financially practical, pointing out the high fees for a master's course. Furthermore, she supports her argument by suggesting a specific, suitable employment path in the banking sector based on his commerce degree. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed, though some points, such as the family's financial issues, could have been expanded further. Overall, the task purpose is clearly achieved, earning a solid band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter maintains a clear overall progression and logical organization. It opens with an appropriate greeting, is divided into logical paragraphs covering distinct points, and concludes with a polite sign-off. Cohesive devices are used adequately, such as 'It is not only to boost... but also helpful...' and 'I also know that...', though some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive in structure. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, body arguments, job suggestions, and conclusion. Referencing is mostly clear, allowing the reader to follow the train of thought easily throughout the text, corresponding well to the requirements of this band level.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Nasreen demonstrates an adequate vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common lexical items related to employment and education, such as 'financially independent', 'competitive salary', and 'flexible schedule'. However, there are noticeable word-choice inaccuracies and spelling errors, such as 'becholer' instead of 'bachelor', 'competitve' instead of 'competitive', and the phrase 'It will relatively with your study' which exhibits awkward collocation. Despite these slips, communication is never impeded, and the range of vocabulary used is sufficient to convey the intended message effectively, fitting comfortably within the mid-range of lexical performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and coordinating conjunctions successfully at times. However, grammatical errors are frequent throughout the response. Examples include tense and infinitive errors like 'about get a new job', subject-verb agreement issues such as 'if you going to college, you have to pay to much fees', and prepositional inaccuracies like 'in particular field'. Punctuation is generally acceptable, but grammatical slips require the reader to occasionally pause. These errors rarely impede overall communication, but they prevent the writing from achieving a higher band due to persistent inaccuracies in basic structures.
