You recently received a letter from a friend asking for advice about whether to go to college or to try to get a job. You think he/she should get a job.

Write a letter to this friend. In your letter

• say why he/she would not enjoy going to college
• explain why getting a job is a good idea for him/her
• suggest types of job that would be suitable for him/her

Dear Calvin,

I hope you are doing well. I received a letter and I am glad you asked me for an advice about your future.

In my viewpoint, you may not enjoy going to college because it involves so many things like doing assignments, studying, exams and to attending all the classes at a time. If you are not interested to do academic study so you may stressful and boring.

I think getting a job would be a great idea for you. You can earn money , become independent, boost confidence and gaining work experience. You can also learn practical skills.

Since you meeting people I would suggest to do work in cafe , retail shop or hotel. So you can improve your customer service skills and communication skills.

I hope my advice helps you to make the right decisions.
