Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Kishan,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to you regarding advice on getting a job.
You would not enjoy going college because in college, you would not get some hands on practical experiece. Moreover, you would not be able to know about real world scenario, which might be possible to acquire by doing an intersnship. I think you have covered all your curriculum at your college. So, you should go into the company for further work experience.
From my perspective, getting a job is the right decision for you because it strengthen your skills. Furthermore, your work experience will be useful in the future for getting high packaged job. Along with that, you can correlate your theoretical knowledge with actual practical sessions. Lastly, you can earn money by doing part time job. So, you can support your family as a financial perspective.
You have a good knowlege of acounting and have a good communication skill. So, you can get the work in the administration department or work as an accountant in the company as a part of your apprenticeship. Moreover, you have wide range of convincing power, which would probably be helpful for getting job in sales department.
Thank you for your cooperation. Best of luch for your future endeavors!! I am looking forward to your response.
Yours sincerely,
Shubham Savaliya

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
The letter addresses all three required points and maintains a clear recommendation to seek work rather than continue studying. You explain that college may offer less practical experience, and support the job recommendation with benefits such as developing skills, gaining experience, and earning money. The suggestions of administration, accounting, and sales are relevant to Kishan’s stated abilities. These ideas are extended with reasons, which gives the response a clear, purposeful focus. Some claims are rather broad—for example, that work experience will lead to a “high packaged job”—and the explanation of why college would not suit him could be more specifically linked to his preferences or circumstances. More precise, personalised support would make the advice feel more fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall progression: it introduces the advice, discusses college, explains the advantages of employment, and then recommends suitable roles. Paragraphing helps distinguish these points, and linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore,” and “Lastly” make relationships between ideas clear. The response therefore has a coherent structure, though some connections feel mechanical because several sentences begin with similar additive transitions. The shift from college to work experience is understandable, but the reasoning could be linked more smoothly. The closing also combines a formal sign-off with a friendly letter to a friend. Use a more consistent informal tone and vary the ways you connect ideas to make the organisation feel more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to education and employment, including “practical experience,” “work experience,” “theoretical knowledge,” “accountant,” and “administration department.” This gives you enough range to communicate the main advice. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “experiece,” “intersnship,” “knowlege,” “acounting,” and “luch” should be corrected, while phrases such as “high packaged job,” “wide range of convincing power,” and “support your family as a financial perspective” are unnatural or unclear. Some expressions also repeat the general idea of experience without adding much detail. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for employment, skills, and financial support; this will make your meaning more fluent and precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The letter includes both simple and more developed sentence forms, including a reason clause (“because it strengthen your skills”) and a relative clause (“which would probably be helpful”). Most ideas remain understandable, but errors occur in basic sentence patterns and agreement. For example, “you would not enjoy going college” needs an article and preposition, and “it strengthen your skills” requires subject–verb agreement. “You can support your family as a financial perspective” does not form a clear grammatical relationship, while “you have a good communication skill” has a number error. These issues show that complex structures are being attempted, but control is not yet consistent. Review articles, prepositions after verbs, agreement, and singular/plural forms, then proofread each sentence for a complete, natural structure.
