Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You give a clear recommendation—“job is good opinion”—and include a reason for avoiding college, referring to your friend’s practical ability, as well as benefits such as earning money and building confidence. However, the task is addressed only partially: the reasons are brief and not clearly explained, and you do not suggest any suitable types of job, which is a specific required point. The reference to a school practical is relevant but unclear (“explaining draining system of water”), so it does not fully support your advice. Develop each point with a clear explanation and name realistic roles that match your friend’s practical strengths.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The letter has a recognisable structure: an opening, separate paragraphs for your advice, and a friendly closing. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Moreover,” and “As a result” help show how some ideas relate. However, progression is limited, and several links are inaccurate or awkward: “while, in present era” does not connect smoothly to the previous paragraph, while “Next public hoildays” introduces the trip abruptly rather than developing the advice. Some sentences also run together because punctuation and spacing are inconsistent. Use one paragraph for each task point, connect each reason directly to your recommendation, and keep the social invitation clearly separate from the main advice.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for giving advice, including “practical work,” “earn money,” “luxury lifestyle,” and “confidence.” These choices make the general topic understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate enough to make parts difficult to interpret, such as “a confusing that in between jobs and further study,” “good opinion,” and “masters in practical work.” There are also spelling errors, including “perpective,” “remerbered,” and “achive.” Choose more natural phrases and check spelling carefully; for example, describe your friend as “good at practical tasks” and say that a job would “provide valuable experience.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a reason clause with “because” and a result link with “As a result.” The basic message is generally recoverable, but errors are frequent and some sentences are difficult to follow. Examples include “I am writing to you about a confusing that in between jobs and further study,” “I would like to advice to you do a job,” and “Next public hoildays we will planned a trip.” These show problems with sentence construction, verb forms, and infinitive patterns. Punctuation and spacing also need attention, as in “well.I” and “Because ,It.” Practise clear patterns such as “I think you should get a job because…” and “I would advise you to…”
