Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 2.5
You make your main recommendation clear: “you should go for the job,” and give one relevant reason, namely that earning money could help pay for studies or other activities. However, the response addresses the task only partially. It does not explain why Anna might not enjoy college, and it gives no suitable job types, so two required points are missing. The reason for working is also only briefly stated, with no personal detail or development. The response is 70 words below the required minimum, which leaves too little space to cover and support all parts of the task. Develop each bullet point with specific reasons and examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
The letter has a recognisable opening, a central recommendation, and a closing, and the ideas are broadly understandable. The phrase “because the job can help you to earn some money” links your advice to its reason. However, almost all the content is compressed into one paragraph, and the response does not progress through the three requested points. The closing wishes and request for a reply arrive without a developed explanation or job suggestions. Use separate paragraphs for your view of college, the benefits of working, and suitable jobs; simple links such as “also” and “for example” can make the progression clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate the central idea, including “job,” “studies,” “earn some money,” and “paying a rent.” The meaning is generally recoverable, but the range is limited and some word choices or forms are inaccurate: “point of veiw” should be “point of view,” “sucessful” should be “successful,” and “advices” is not normally used as a plural noun. “Outing with friends just for the fun” is also an awkward expression. Aim for more natural phrases such as “gain work experience,” “cover your expenses,” and “spend time with friends.” More precise vocabulary would help you explain the advice and suggest suitable work.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate your main recommendation using a basic sentence pattern, and the clause beginning “because” gives a reason. However, the response relies on a narrow range of structures, and several grammatical errors make parts less natural. In “use for you studies,” the possessive should be “your”; “let me knows” should be “let me know”; and “I wish you for…” does not form a correct sentence pattern. The long sentence joining the recommendation, reason, and examples would also be clearer if divided into shorter sentences. Practise accurate possessives, verb forms after “let,” and complete sentence structures, then add a few controlled complex sentences.
