Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You make your recommendation clear: “you need looking for a job rather than going to college,” and you give relevant reasons, including earning money, supporting family, and using an accounting qualification. However, the task is only partially addressed. You do not explain specifically why Raman would dislike college, and the suggestion of suitable job types is missing; referring generally to opportunities “related to your course” does not identify roles. The reasons are also brief and not developed with examples. The response is below the required 150 words, which limits how fully you can cover the three points. Add a clear explanation of his preferences, name suitable accounting-related jobs, and expand each reason with a little supporting detail.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter has a recognisable sequence: you state your advice, give reasons for working, and close with a sign-off. Paragraph breaks and markers such as “Secondly” and “Furthermore” help the reader follow the main points. However, the progression is limited because the ideas are brief, and “Moreover” introduces another point that largely repeats the accounting qualification and job-demand idea. The opening “Hi, How are you?” is separated into short fragments, while the body does not clearly distinguish the explanation about college from the job benefits and job suggestions. To improve, organise the body around the three requested points and use linking phrases to show how each new idea develops rather than repeats the previous one.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate the central recommendation and some relevant reasons, including “earn money,” “financial,” “degree,” and “demand.” The range is limited, however, and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “make them financial strong,” “the demand of it very popular,” and “number of opprunity are open.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning harder to understand. The response also repeats “job,” “college,” and “accountant” without much variation. Build a more precise range for employment advice—for example, phrases for supporting relatives, gaining experience, and applying for accounting roles—and check spelling and natural word combinations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

Most of the message is conveyed through short, simple statements, and you attempt to connect ideas with “because” and “Furthermore.” However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and errors occur frequently in basic patterns. Examples include “you need looking for a job,” “I don't you will enjoy,” and “there are number of opprunity are open”; these sentences have faulty verb forms or clause structures. There are also missing or incorrect articles and agreement in phrases such as “will be good idea” and “the demand of it very popular.” The punctuation and spacing around “college.I” also need attention. Practise complete sentence patterns, especially “you should look for,” “I don’t think you would enjoy,” and “there are several opportunities.”
