The graph below shows the average monthly change in the prices of three metals during 2014.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)
The provided line graph depicts the information about the percentage change in the prices compared with previous month for three metals, namely copper, nickel and zinc in 2014.
Overall, the price of nickel decreases significantly compared to other two metals throughout the year, whereas price of zinc flactuates but ended up with increase in price while copper has a small decrease from the point of commencement.
According to the line graph, nickel prices decrease substentially from january to march and almost levelled up before a sharp dip in the june. Then, a small rise in july and after that remain constant till september. A minor fall in october and then dramtic rise observe in the month of november and remain costant in december.
There was a dramtic fall in the copper and zinc from january till july with the exception of a sharp rise of zinc in january. A small rise in july and then levellef off till september. After september a small dip in the october and then prices rise again till december.
