The graph below shows the average monthly change in the prices of three metals during 2014.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)
The line graph below gives us information about the average monthly transformation in the prices of three metals copper, nickel and zinc during 2014. overall it can be seen that value of Nickel metal decreases sharply in the whole year while graph of copper and zinc metal remains almost steady in whole year in comparison with copper.
It is evident from the graph that, Nickel price was sharply dropped from 6% to 4% in feburary and then reached to 1% in january. It reamins almost constant in next two months and then declined to -3% till month of june 2014. In July price increased upto -1%. In the month of August and september price remain constant then after 1% deacrease, price suddenly increased and reached to 1% in the month of december.
Meanwhile, graph demonstarte that price of zinc suddenly raised to 3% from 1% in the month of feburary then gradually decreased to -1% till june. After reamin at mixed position for four months its worth drastically increased from -1% to +2% in next three months. in comparison copper price at first gradually declined from 2% in january to nearly -1% and than steadily increased to 1% till september and finally touched almost 2% in december.
