Student answer (Band 6.5)

Nowadays getting a job is not easy as there are plethora of requirements not only person interest in different field but also about personal life such as they are single or committed which they are asking for. Some people argue that they should not ask those question whereas other said it is useful information for company to know them.

In the modern era, company's are more aware of what is going on in current basic so whenever they hire more employers they ask more questions about what they like and dislike so they know them better. It has a merits because if company know their employees, it can beneficial for their future growth. Although, it feels like regulations, individual like to share as it gives them benefits too.

On the other hand, asking personal details makes no sense because if someone is hardworking and courage about their work, they will complete any task in deadlines even it is hard task. For example person who is not interested to share his deadlines to company but he is working hard and his old records are without any errors, it shows he is responsible man. As a result, company can trust them and they will make company proud.

According to my perspective, if the company do not know about individuals personal life, that is better because if somebody know something it can be chance of gossip. Hence someone can feel embarrassed with behavior and working in that environment.

In the nutshell, everyone has their own safety and concern about their life, asking them such a quastions make them nerves as well as demotivate them for future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both sides of the issue and providing a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'gossip' as a reason to avoid sharing personal information is a valid point but lacks depth or a concrete example to fully support the claim. The ideas are relevant, but the explanation remains superficial in places. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your reasoning with more detailed illustrations or logical consequences, ensuring that each paragraph fully explores the implications of the arguments presented.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a basic attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'In the modern era', 'On the other hand', and 'In the nutshell'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as using 'Although' at the start of a sentence to mean 'However'. Additionally, some transitions between sentences are abrupt, which affects the overall flow. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help create a more natural progression of ideas throughout the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You have attempted to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'regulations', 'hardworking', and 'demotivate'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'plethora of requirements not only person interest' and 'courage about their work' (instead of 'courageous' or 'passionate'). There are also minor spelling errors like 'quastions' and 'nerves' (used instead of 'nervous'). To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring word forms are used correctly in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('company's are', 'company do not know') and article usage. Some sentences are structurally awkward, such as 'whenever they hire more employers they ask more questions'. These errors are noticeable and occur throughout the text, though they do not usually impede communication. To achieve a higher band, you should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and attempting more complex sentence structures with greater precision.
