Student answer (Band 6.5)

Task-2.

In modern world, the employees requires the information about personal interest, marital status of the job seekers. A number of individuals believe that it is relevant and valid knowledge about the person but few people are not in favour of this trend. This essay includes the both sides of viewpoints are along with my opinion which is explained briefly in the upcoming paragraphs.

The first reason is that the company's basic requirement is the people of certain interest. For example, the teaching professionals always asked this questions about what interest they have learned to become a tutor. If a person doesnot have the knowledge or no interest in developing young minds they would not prefer them. The second reason to agree with the given statement is the division of categories on the basis of personal information is made by the management to put people in particular areas. This is due to the fulfilling of positions based on categories.

On the other hand, the disagreement about the statement could be the reason of thoughts they made before you enter into your work. The colleagues judge you based on your status of marriage. This is not appropriate and the co-workers asked Personal questions to you as well. Furthermore, the next thing could be the safety. Your information can leaked.

the data of the organisation get hacked. The individuals will have the fear of spreading false narrative about you.

In my opinion, the information about any employ should be limited to the position only. The personal questions and sometimes make the others feel awkward.

In conclusion, the jobs of certain professions need it to hire people of same interest and others think it is unsafe to share with strangers your personal stuff.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'teaching professionals' is a bit vague and lacks a clear connection to why marital status or hobbies are essential for that specific role. The points regarding privacy and data security are relevant but could be expanded with more depth to reach a higher band. The position is clear, but the overall development of the arguments remains at a surface level, which is characteristic of a Band 6 performance.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'The second reason to agree with the given statement is...' and 'the next thing could be the safety.' Additionally, the paragraphing is a bit disjointed, particularly with the short, fragmented sentences regarding data hacking. While the reader can follow the argument, the transitions between ideas could be smoother and more sophisticated to achieve a higher score.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at topic-specific vocabulary, such as 'marital status' and 'false narrative.' However, there are also instances of imprecise word choice, such as 'the employees requires the information' (should be 'employers') and 'the jobs of certain professions need it.' The range is sufficient to communicate, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for a higher band score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('the employees requires'), missing articles, and incorrect verb forms ('the co-workers asked Personal questions' instead of 'ask'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some fragmented sentences. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to demonstrate a lack of control over complex structures, which limits the score to a Band 5.5 or 6.0 range. I have awarded 6.0 as the meaning remains clear throughout.
