Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some proportion of workers thinks that few bosses prefer to ask interviewer's marital status and passion to know more about them is related or benefical but some believes its not.
According to my perspective, I want to discuss both views from coming on any decision.
First of all, passions and married status tells about the maturity level of the person. For example, marriage relationship comes with allot of responsibility of the family members and kids. So, by asking their marital status employer usually wants to check about their work- life balance. For example, if the employer is looking someone for long working hours which could be easy for a single person but may be harder for a married or a parents because they need to spend time with their family as well. With that passion tells about the inter-personal skills like co-ordination, concentration and team work. For instance, few people love to solve puzzles which is not a easy game to play, need lot of patience and concentration to solve it.
On the flip side, few people thought it's not relevant or useful because for work they just work exerience and practical knowledge. Like, few people's favourite acitivity is cooking but their work profession is in civil, there is no connection between both of them. Addtionally, some person they don't have any hobbies or they are married too but they just love to work.
In my opinion, after discussing both views I personally believe asking hobbies, interests and marital status is relevant and useful because it shows about person's mental and physical health.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views and providing a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding hobbies and 'mental and physical health' in the conclusion is introduced too late and lacks supporting evidence. The explanation of how marital status relates to work-life balance is relevant, but the connection between hobbies and 'inter-personal skills' is not fully explored or convincing. To reach a higher band, you should ensure that each point is clearly linked to the prompt and supported by more detailed reasoning or specific examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'First of all', 'On the flip side', and 'Additionally'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'from coming on any decision'. Furthermore, referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the link between hobbies and professional skills is disjointed. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of imprecise word choice, such as 'passion' used to mean 'hobbies' or 'interests', and 'allot' (a spelling error for 'a lot'). Phrases like 'not a easy game to play' are somewhat informal and repetitive. To improve, you should focus on using more precise academic collocations and synonyms to avoid repeating basic terms like 'people' or 'work'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('Some proportion of workers thinks', 'some believes'), article misuse ('the employer is looking someone'), and awkward phrasing ('shows about person's mental and physical health'). While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and article usage would be highly beneficial.
