Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this fast pace of life, some employers ask individuals about their likes and dislikes in their personal lifes. Individuals believe that,by asking such type of questions they can get an idea about the skills and knowledge of that person. Some people disagree with this statement and the reasons being explained in further paragraphs.
To begin with, it is clearly seen that if individuals have good physical strength if they usually prefer more outdoor sports activity. Thus, if employer put these kind of employee into the production then the firm may grow in good condition. Apart from this, if someone has really good skills of problem solving then they have to join in decision making position such as operation manager. Therefore, it is a valid to ask someone about their personal interest, so that employee can work without hassle free. To exemplify, overall the growth of any company depends on how their employee loyal to the company,if person not loyal in his life then its hard to say wheather individual stay longer or not in the company. So it is pivotal to ask some personnal questions from employer during the hiring process.
On the other hand, some people believe that they have some privacy in their life and they do not want to disclose on their workplace. For an example, asking about whether they are married or not does not make any sence. Employers need to check or evaluate employees experience and education that they can done by taking exams or asking by some technical questions. Thus, some personal life related question should be avoid by organizers during the hiring process.
To sum up, I firmly believe that, asking some personal questions shall provide inevitable information about the employee. However, privacy concern is matter as well for the employee.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—the relevance of personal information for assessing skills and loyalty versus the importance of privacy—and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, some ideas are underdeveloped or lack logical support. For example, the claim that people with good physical strength preferred in outdoor sports should be placed into production is confusingly explained and weakly connected to workplace performance. Similarly, the reasoning regarding loyalty contains logical leaps. While the prompt is adequately engaged and a clear position is maintained throughout, the reasoning needs greater clarity and more specific, realistic examples. Therefore, this performance aligns closely with the Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement with a discernible introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. Paragraphing is used to separate different viewpoints and arguments. However, cohesion is frequently faulty or mechanical. Expressions like 'To begin with, it is clearly seen that' and 'Apart from this' are used rigidly, and referencing is sometimes unclear, such as 'they can done by taking exams' where pronoun reference fails. Transitional sentences often feel disjointed, and the logical flow within the second body paragraph is hindered by confusing sentence structures. These features correspond directly to the Band 5 descriptors for cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common phrases such as 'decision making position' and 'hiring process'. However, there are notable inaccuracies in word choice, collocation, and spelling throughout the text. Examples include 'personal lifes', 'hassle free' used incorrectly, 'wheather' instead of whether, 'sence' instead of sense, and 'personnal'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently and restrict the score to Band 5, as the vocabulary lacks the precision and control required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating conditional structures such as 'if employer put these kind of employee into the production then the firm may grow'. However, frequent grammatical errors in tense, article usage, subject-verb agreement, and prepositional phrases detract from the quality of the writing. Noticeable errors include 'if person not loyal', 'that they can done', and 'question should be avoid'. Although the meaning is generally retrievable, the high frequency of structural and mechanical errors means that control of grammar is inconsistent, reflecting the Band 5 criteria.
