Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the papers as a doctor’s description and explain that they relate to ongoing gut-health issues and have affected your daily routine. You also ask the manager to find them, so the main purpose is clear. However, the location is not stated consistently: you mention checking into room 410, but do not clearly say whether the papers were left in the room, at the meeting, or elsewhere. The importance is explained only briefly, and the request could be more specific—for example, asking staff to search the room and contact you if the papers are found. The response is also one word below the required minimum. Develop these details to address every part more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a recognisable progression: you introduce the problem, explain why the papers matter, make a request, and close politely. Paragraphing also separates the main explanation from the request and closing. Some links between ideas are less clear, however. For example, “without this situation has affected my daily routine” does not show how the missing papers connect to the effect on your routine, and “Also i have been this issue for last five years” is difficult to follow. The long opening paragraph contains several ideas without clear sentence boundaries. Use shorter, clearly separated sentences and make references such as “this issue” explicit to improve the flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary suited to a formal request, including “considerable inconvenience,” “necessary steps,” and “I look forward to receiving your response.” The meaning is generally recoverable, but spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes make the message harder to understand: “Manger,” “hotal,” “essentail,” and “description” (where “prescription” may be intended). Phrases such as “take argent steps” and “provide solution” are also inaccurate or unnatural. Aim for precise terms for the document and a natural collocation when asking the hotel to act. Proofreading spelling and choosing familiar, accurate expressions would make your vocabulary more effective and reliable.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, such as “I sincerely hope that you will understand my situation and provide solution at your convenience.” The overall message can be followed, but some sentence structures and verb forms are faulty. For example, “I was checkin your hotal” does not form a correct past-tense clause, while “without this situation has affected my daily routine” lacks a workable grammatical connection between the ideas. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “provide solution” and the run-on opening after “inconvenience.” Use complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check tense and article use. These changes would make the letter easier to read.
