Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses all three bullet points of the prompt: identifying the location of the papers, explaining their importance, and requesting action from the manager. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, although it occasionally slips into informal phrasing. The ideas are relevant, but the development is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of why the documents are important is brief. To reach a higher band, you should expand slightly more on the consequences of losing the papers to provide a more persuasive argument. Overall, the task is fulfilled adequately.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the narrative. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'moreover', and 'Furthermore' to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and the flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors. The referencing is generally clear, though the transition between the description of the receptionist's behavior and the final request could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used naturally would enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is sufficient to convey the message, but it is somewhat basic and repetitive. There are instances of awkward word choices, such as 'receptionist guy' (which is too informal) and 'Engry' (a spelling error for 'angry'). Phrases like 'took a room' and 'check out your room' are functional but lack the precision expected at higher levels. To improve, focus on using more formal collocations appropriate for a business letter, such as 'checked out of' or 'misplaced' instead of 'missed'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow, such as 'I hope you doing well' (missing auxiliary verb), 'i forgot in your hotel' (missing preposition/object), and 'he didn't even allowed me' (incorrect verb form after 'did'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of lowercase 'i' instead of 'I'. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevent a higher score.
