Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The letter covers all three bullet points required by the prompt: the location of the papers, their importance, and the requested action. However, the response is under the 150-word minimum, which limits the development of ideas. While the purpose is clear, the explanation of the importance of the documents is somewhat brief. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the consequences of losing the documents or provide more detail about the meeting context to ensure the response is fully developed and meets the length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter follows a logical structure, moving from the purpose of the letter to the details of the incident and finally the request. Paragraphing is present, though the paragraphs are quite short. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'It is therefore requested' and 'Incase I may not', though some transitions feel slightly mechanical. The flow is generally easy to follow, but the overall organization would benefit from more sophisticated linking words to connect the ideas more fluidly between sentences.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your needs clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'miscommunication', 'allocation', and 'concerned department'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'send me through the post office' (should be 'send them to me via') and 'original degree' (should be 'original degree certificate'). The range is somewhat limited, and you rely on basic phrasing to convey your message. Expanding your vocabulary to include more formal business-related collocations would improve your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as the conditional 'Incase I may not submit these, I will lose my job'. However, there are several grammatical errors, including 'during stay' (missing 'my'), 'documents consists' (subject-verb agreement error), and 'with in' (should be 'within'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before periods. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your request, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall accuracy of the writing.
