Dear sir/ madam
I am writing this letter about my missing documents. Two days before my family and I visited your hotel and there I think I left my important document and it is my passport.
My family and I plan to visit London and we stayed at your Grand royal hotel in Dubai. After 3 days I have flight for london and my passport which I must need, because without that I will not able to take flight and might be my trip will be spoiled.
My humble request to you, can you please check room no. 905 on 9th floor. My family stayed over there and can you please send me an email or message me. If you find my document. I will come to you anytime. If you can help me I would be appreciate you and thankful to you.
I am waiting to hear you as soon as possible, Thank you for understanding this difficult circumstances.
Your Faithfully,
Riddhi

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5
The letter addresses all three bullet points required by the prompt. You clearly state where the documents were left (room 905), explain their importance (a passport needed for an upcoming flight to London), and provide a clear request for action (checking the room and contacting you). The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a hotel manager. While the development of ideas is sufficient to meet the task requirements, adding a bit more detail regarding the specific location within the room or a more formal closing would have strengthened the response further.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The letter is logically organized into distinct paragraphs, each serving a clear purpose. The progression of ideas is easy to follow. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'After 3 days' and 'If you find', to link your thoughts. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat basic and occasionally repetitive. To improve, you could use a wider variety of linking words or transition phrases to connect sentences more fluidly, such as 'consequently' or 'furthermore', which would help the flow feel less mechanical.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message clearly. Words like 'documents', 'circumstances', and 'spoiled' are used correctly. However, there are some minor inaccuracies and limited variety in word choice. For instance, 'I would be appreciate you' is grammatically incorrect and uses a weak collocation. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise, formal expressions would elevate your writing. Focus on using more sophisticated collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing to reach a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The letter contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'I have flight for london' (missing articles and capitalization), 'without that I will not able to' (missing 'be'), and 'I would be appreciate you' (incorrect verb form). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the salutation and closing. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, the correct use of articles, and ensuring that complex sentence structures are grammatically sound.
