Dear Sumit Kumar

I am writing this letter to inform you that last week we have had a big company care conference in your hotel ,everything went smooth we liked all the services given by your staff. However, In the rush of managing everything I have forgot some important paper in the conference room unfortunately .

The papers are very important for me because I have all the key points from the meetings in the paper with some confidential information also we have all the policies for the company that we are going to launch in upcoming month .

I am out of the city for another company care conference and I will not be back till next Monday I would like to request you please send all the papers to the given address that I will mention in the message .

I look forward for your action on this .

Arjun Kumar

Thanks

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The letter covers all three bullet points required by the prompt: the location of the papers, their importance, and the requested action. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, although the opening salutation was inconsistent with the instructions provided. The ideas are relevant and clearly stated, though the development could be slightly more detailed to reach a higher band. For instance, explaining the specific nature of the 'confidential information' would have added depth. However, the purpose of the letter is clear, and the reader understands exactly what is required.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the narrative. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and limited. Transitions between sentences are occasionally abrupt, such as the jump from the conference details to the request for the papers. The referencing is generally clear, but the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', or 'therefore') to connect ideas more fluidly. Paragraphing is present, but the overall structure feels slightly disjointed due to the lack of sophisticated cohesive links.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the message to be conveyed without difficulty. There are some attempts at more specific vocabulary, such as 'confidential information', which is good. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of imprecise word choice, such as 'big company care conference' and 'I have forgot'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the score. To improve, you should focus on using more precise collocations and ensuring that word forms are used correctly in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The letter contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are several grammatical errors, particularly with verb tenses and subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'we have had' instead of 'we had', 'I have forgot' instead of 'I forgot'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some missing commas and incorrect spacing before punctuation marks. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on consistent tense usage and proofreading for basic punctuation would significantly improve your accuracy.
