Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter

• say where you think you left the papers
• explain why they are so important
• tell the manager what you want him/her to do

Student answer (Band 6.0)

Dear Sir or Madam,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing this letter to request you about finding papers. As I was staying in your hotel from july 21st,2026 to july 24th,2026 in room number 209.

Actually, I forgot my new project papers as well as passport. I kept my all imprortant documents in locker , which was provided by hotel or you can check in left drawer that is atteched to the bed.

These two documents are really crucial for my business meeting. I already booked flight for Canada that will be on August 15,2026 .

I need passport for travelling and project papers to explain the new project to employees. Without these documents bussiness meeting will not be attended by me. Not only i will lose my job but also I need to pay the cost of flight to my company.

I would like to request you if you could help me to find these crucial documents, it would be great. Either you can call me when you find these papers or you can send it on my given address, and i will pay the cost of courier.
