Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task: identifying the location of the papers, explaining their importance, and requesting specific action from the manager. The purpose of the letter is clear, and the tone is generally appropriate for a formal request. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For example, while you mention the importance of the contract, providing a bit more detail on the potential consequences of losing it would have strengthened the argument. Overall, the response is relevant and fulfills the requirements of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter follows a logical progression, moving from the introduction to the problem, the explanation, and finally the request. Paragraphing is present, though the structure is a bit cramped. You use some cohesive devices like 'Therefore' and 'While', but the flow is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'This is just first happened with me'. The referencing is generally clear, but the overall organization could be improved by using more varied linking words to connect your sentences more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your needs clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'checkout', 'contract', and 'documents'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'double all the thing' instead of 'check all my belongings' and 'skipped the my contract paper'. These errors do not prevent understanding, but they do indicate a limited range of vocabulary for more sophisticated expression.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including tense issues ('i forget' instead of 'I forgot'), article misuse ('the my contract'), and prepositional errors ('by an interac'). While these errors are noticeable and occur frequently, they rarely impede the reader's ability to understand your message. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles and prepositions.
