Dear Sir,
I wanted to enquire you about the papers that I have left in the hotel by mistake. I think i have left those in the drawer near the tv counter.
To begin with these papers are really important for me as I have to attend a meeting the evening where i have to use these papers for my presentation. in additon to that it also contains some confidential information about my new project and important company details.
Furthermore, if your manager found these papers. I want you guys to call me asap whenever you find these papers. Also keep these papers in a secure location until i reach your premise and collect the papers by myself.
I am looking forward to hear from you, It would be really appreciated if u guys can put in efforts and find my papers for me.
Thanks for your time and efforts.
Yours Faithfully,
Mohit

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The letter covers all three bullet points required by the prompt. You clearly identify the location of the papers, explain their importance regarding a presentation and confidential project details, and state your request for the manager to secure and notify you. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, although some phrasing is slightly informal. The ideas are relevant and sufficiently developed to meet the task requirements. To reach a higher band, ensure that the tone remains consistently formal throughout, avoiding informal phrasing like 'you guys' or 'asap'.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized into distinct paragraphs, each addressing a specific part of the prompt. There is a clear progression of ideas from the initial enquiry to the explanation and finally the request. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'in addition to that', and 'Furthermore' to link your ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes a bit mechanical. To improve, try to vary your linking words and ensure that the transition between sentences feels more natural rather than relying on standard list-like connectors.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'enquire', 'confidential', and 'secure location'. However, there are some instances of informal or imprecise word choice, such as 'tv counter' (which is likely a piece of furniture rather than a counter) and 'you guys', which is inappropriate for a formal letter to a hotel manager. The use of 'asap' is also too informal for this context. Expanding your vocabulary to include more formal alternatives would help elevate your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'I wanted to enquire you' (should be 'enquire with you' or 'ask you about'), 'I have left those' (should be 'I left those'), and 'if your manager found these papers' (a sentence fragment). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some missing commas and incorrect capitalization, such as 'in additon'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall accuracy of the writing.
