Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The letter covers all three bullet points: the location of the papers, their importance, and the requested action. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, although some phrasing is slightly awkward. The ideas are relevant and clearly stated, such as the specific room number and the reason for the papers' importance. However, the development of the ideas is somewhat brief. To reach a higher band, you could expand slightly on the nature of the meeting or the specific steps the manager might take to assist you, ensuring the response feels more natural and fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, each addressing a specific part of the prompt. There is a clear progression of ideas from the initial problem to the proposed solution. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat limited and occasionally mechanical. For example, the transition between sentences could be smoother; phrases like 'I vividly remember' and 'I know this is really hard' are functional but lack sophisticated linking. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the overall flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect ideas more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have an adequate range of vocabulary to communicate your message effectively. You use some relevant terms like 'documents', 'rented room', and 'prompt response'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'in regarding to forgot' (should be 'regarding the forgotten documents') and 'invest his time on this demanding work'. These errors do not impede communication, but they highlight a need for more precise control over word forms and prepositions. Expanding your vocabulary to include more formal, idiomatic expressions would improve your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The letter contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'that did on last Saturday' (should be 'that I did last Saturday') and 'My future fully rely' (should be 'relies'). Additionally, there are issues with article usage and verb tense consistency, such as 'before I leave' (should be 'before I left'). While these errors are noticeable, they do not prevent the reader from understanding your request. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage.
