IELTS Writing Task 1 question
Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter
- say where you think you left the papers
- explain why they are so important
- tell the manager what you want him/her to do

Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 7.0)
Dear Sir/Madam,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to inform you that last weekend i stayed at your hotel with my family. I got surprised; finding I had lost my passport document.
In the morning at 9am we went for the breakfast, at Reign restaurant I remember the documents were with me at that time. They were inside a black binder which had my name on it. After finishing we went upstairs to our room and I believe, it got misplaced there only.
I have recently applied for a new passport, to receive it i have to submit my existing one. Other than that, the binder also has my bank credentials which I can not afford to be get misused.
I firmly request you, if you can ask the restaurant team if they had found the binder which matches with my description. I am also attaching my contact number, you can reach out to me as soon as you get any leads.
