Dear Sir,

Subject: Item left behind in hotel room.

I am here in this city due to some urgent business meetings and that presentation documents are really crucial for me to offer new plans and growing future of my company. If I will not get my these papers with me them my business deals is going to effected definitely.

Further, I request you to find out my paper through your employees and keep these documents to a safe and secure place. Once I will be done with my some meetings I will reach out to you by today’s evening to get my documents.

Thank you so much,

Sukhbir Singh.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points required by the prompt. You clearly state where the papers were left (room 402), explain their importance for your business meetings, and provide instructions for the manager. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, although the opening 'Dear Sir' is slightly less standard than the requested 'Dear Sir or Madam'. The ideas are relevant and the purpose of the letter is clear throughout. To reach a higher band, ensure that the development of ideas is slightly more polished and that the tone remains consistently professional throughout the entire correspondence.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized, with a clear progression from the purpose of the letter to the specific request. Paragraphing is used, though the structure could be improved by separating the explanation of the importance of the documents from the request for action more distinctly. Cohesive devices such as 'Further' and 'Once I will be done' are used, though some transitions feel slightly mechanical. The referencing is generally clear, and the reader can easily follow the sequence of events you describe. Improving the variety of linking words would enhance the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'crucial', 'urgent', and 'secure'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'growing future of my company' (which is slightly unnatural) and 'find out my paper' (where 'locate' or 'retrieve' would be more precise). While these errors do not impede communication, they limit the score. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing like 'my some meetings' or 'my these papers'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The letter contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'since 2 days' (should be 'for 2 days'), 'checked out by today' (should be 'checked out today'), and 'my business deals is going to effected' (should be 'are going to be affected'). These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your message. To achieve a higher band, you should focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of passive voice and verb tenses, particularly when discussing future arrangements.
