Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points: the location of the papers, their importance, and the requested action. However, the development of these points is somewhat limited. While the location is described in detail, the explanation of why the papers are important is slightly repetitive, and the request for action is phrased in a way that is not entirely natural for a formal letter. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal request, though the opening and closing are slightly informal. To improve, ensure that the purpose of the letter is stated more clearly in the opening paragraph.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into short paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the message. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite limited and sometimes mechanical. For example, the transition between the description of the papers and the reason for their importance is abrupt. There is a lack of linking words to connect ideas smoothly. The referencing is generally clear, but the overall flow could be improved by using a wider range of cohesive devices such as 'consequently', 'furthermore', or 'in addition' to better connect the sentences and ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are several spelling errors, such as 'importatnt', 'docoments', and 'widow' (instead of 'window'). The phrasing is often basic, such as 'i can do payment for this' and 'hand speed post me'. To achieve a higher band, you should aim to use more precise collocations and ensure accurate spelling. Using more formal vocabulary, such as 'misplaced' instead of 'left' and 'remunerate' instead of 'do payment', would significantly enhance the quality of the writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The letter contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Issues include missing articles ('in right hand side', 'on 7th story'), incorrect verb forms ('which i going to take'), and awkward sentence construction ('This letter about importatnt docoments'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization and the use of parentheses. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of errors is high enough to distract the reader. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles will help improve your accuracy.
