Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You successfully covered all three bullet points required in the task instructions. You clearly stated where you left the papers, mentioning that they were placed in the 'fornt drawer near to the TV panel.' Furthermore, you explained why they are important by stating they are your 'education certificates' needed for your career and job interview. Finally, you told the manager what action to take, requesting that they 'send a courier to my given address.' The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter to a manager. However, the purpose in the opening sentence is slightly awkward ('express a request for a some important documents'), but overall, all parts of the prompt are addressed adequately, aligning with a Band 6.0 performance.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

Your letter has a coherent overall arrangement and follows a logical structure. You used appropriate introductory and transitional markers such as 'To begin with,' 'Furthermore,' and 'Additionally' to guide the reader through your points and separate your ideas into distinct paragraphs. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to structure the letter. However, referencing and cohesion are sometimes faulty or mechanical, such as the awkward transition 'as I was in hurry so in result I left'. Additionally, the sign-off 'Your Sincerly,' contains a grammatical error. Despite these minor lapses in cohesive devices and referencing, the progression of ideas is clear throughout, supporting a Band 6.0 score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrated an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully using terms related to hotel stays and employment, such as 'checked in', 'interview', 'education certificates', and 'courier'. However, there are noticeable lexical and spelling errors that prevent a higher score, such as 'fornt' instead of front, and the redundant phrasing 'personal contact number' where 'contact number' or 'phone number' would suffice. You attempted some less common vocabulary items like 'vital' and 'communication', but there are occasional word-choice inaccuracies, such as 'express a request for a some important documents' instead of 'make an inquiry regarding'. These limitations place your lexical resource securely at Band 5.5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrated a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating relative clauses and subordinate clauses such as 'As this is related to my job interview because I came in hotel...'. However, there are several grammatical errors and awkward structures throughout the text, including article misuse ('for a some important documents', 'in hotel'), unnecessary prepositions ('visited to your hotel'), and tense/adverbial awkwardness ('as I was in hurry so in result I left'). Punctuation and capitalization errors also occur, such as 'monday' and 'Your Sincerly,'. While these errors do not impede overall communication—the manager will easily understand your request—they are frequent enough to prevent the writing from achieving a Band 6.0, fitting the Band 5.5 descriptor.
