Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter

• say where you think you left the papers
• explain why they are so important
• tell the manager what you want him/her to do

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to ask you to check room number 305 thoroughly since I believe, I left my extremely crucial documents there.

For a night stay, I booked your single room last night. After having my dinner, I was completing my pending office work on the dressing table in the room. Therefore, I might left my papers on the dressing table. Alternatively, they may be in the drawers as well as I often keep my documents in the drawers.

Furthermore, the documents are extremely vital for my job because these are the final agreement between my client and me. I work as a real estate agent and just signed an agreement with a new customer.

Given the circumstances, I would really appreciate it if you could ask your housekeeper to not discard any piece of papers found in room 305. If the room has already been cleaned, could you please keep the rubish from it so I could check it later. I will be there around 10 pm tonight to collect the documents.
