Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three required points: you identify the papers as business documents, explain that they contain the conditions for an important client deal, and ask the manager to retrieve and post them. The reason for their importance is relevant and gives the reader a clear sense of urgency. However, the location is not precise: “in my issued room” does not clearly identify which room, and the request would be more useful if you supplied your room number, dates of stay, and postal address. The explanation of the deal is also somewhat unclear, particularly “with them I want to meet.” The letter therefore covers the task, but some details need fuller and clearer development.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter has a recognisable structure, moving from the purpose of writing to the location, importance of the papers, and requested action. Separate paragraphs help distinguish these points, and the closing is appropriate. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. For example, “I am gurvir” interrupts the explanation of where the papers were left, while “However” does not express a clear contrast before the explanation of their importance. References such as “that papers” and “with them” also make it harder to track the ideas. Use clearer links such as “I believe,” “These documents,” and “Therefore,” and keep each paragraph focused on one purpose.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use task-relevant vocabulary, including “business papers,” “clients,” “deal,” and “post,” so the reader can understand the general situation and request. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the message unclear. “Issued room” does not convey the intended meaning, and “spead post” is not the appropriate expression for the requested service. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “buisness,” “remimber,” and “situtaion.” Aim for precise, conventional phrases such as “guest room,” “urgent business,” and “send the documents by express post,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences to explain the circumstances and importance of the papers. The main message is generally recoverable, but the range of structures is limited and errors recur in basic sentence patterns. For example, “I was left” is not the correct construction for saying you left something behind, and “I am request you” needs a correctly formed verb phrase. Agreement and articles are also problematic in “That papers are” and “in my issued room.” Some sentences, such as the explanation beginning “whole deal is,” lack clear grammatical structure, which makes the relationship between ideas difficult to follow. Practise accurate past-tense sentences and simple, complete request forms.
