Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three required points: you suggest the papers may be in room 505, explain that you need them as proof for your manager, and ask the hotel to check with staff and recheck the room. These details make the purpose of the letter clear. The explanation of importance is relevant, but it could be more specific about what the papers prove or why they are needed urgently. Your request is also somewhat unclear: “conform from your staff” does not clearly say whether you want the manager to search, contact you if the papers are found, or arrange their return. State the requested action and how the hotel can reach you to make the letter more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The information follows a generally sensible order: you describe your stay and meeting, explain how you noticed the papers were missing, and then make a request. The subject line and closing also help identify the letter’s purpose and format. However, the main body is presented as one long paragraph, so the different stages of the message are not clearly separated. Some links between events are awkward or unclear, particularly “When i went back to my room after my meeting that time i go back with my all files” and the transition to “Today.” Use separate paragraphs for the background, the importance of the papers, and your request, and connect events with clear time references.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough relevant vocabulary to communicate the situation, including “meeting room,” “important papers,” “manager,” and “proof.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the message less natural, such as “I lived in your hotel,” “my beg,” and “conform from your staff.” Spelling errors including “atend,” “pep ers,” and “look forword” also reduce accuracy and can make the reader pause. Aim for precise, conventional expressions for hotel stays and requests, and check spelling carefully. For example, “I stayed at your hotel” and “please confirm with your staff” would express your meaning more naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the reader can generally understand the sequence of events. However, control of sentence structure and verb forms is inconsistent. For example, “I remembered, i atend my meeting” does not form a clear grammatical sentence, while “When i went back … that time i go back” shifts awkwardly between past and present. There are also agreement and article problems in “All papers was very important” and “I need my some paper.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, including lowercase “i” and the run-on request beginning “can you please.” Practise forming clear past-tense sentences and checking subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
