Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three points: you identify the reception desk as the likely location, explain that the papers are needed for a job interview, and ask the manager to search using CCTV. These details make the purpose of the letter clear. However, some points are under-developed: for example, you do not describe the papers or give the hotel enough information to identify them, and the request could specify how the manager should contact you or return them. The response is also below the required 150 words, so the task is not fully completed. Add practical identifying details and a clear follow-up request to make the letter more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter follows a sensible overall order: you explain where the papers may be, why they matter, and what you want the manager to do. The paragraph breaks also help separate these points. Some connections are less clear or feel mechanical, however. For instance, “I am going to tell you” is an indirect opening, and “I felt very bad because i lost my important papers” interrupts the explanation of the interview’s importance rather than advancing the request. The final request and thanks are understandable, but the letter would progress more smoothly if each paragraph focused on one purpose and the closing included a clear next step, such as asking the hotel to contact you.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You communicate the main situation using relevant vocabulary such as “job interview,” “documents,” “papers,” and “CCTV cameras.” However, the range is limited, and several spelling and word-choice errors make the letter less precise: “curusical document” appears to mean “crucial documents,” “hotal” should be “hotel,” and “reseption disk” should be “reception desk.” Some expressions are also unnatural, including “the form of entries” and “one horse” where the intended meaning seems to be completing an entry form and attending an interview in one hour. Use accurate, task-specific phrases and check spelling carefully; this will make your message clearer and more professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer clauses, including “It is necesary because of my job interview, which was held after one horse in a office.” The main message is generally recoverable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “when I feeling” needs a correctly formed verb phrase, and “I request to the hotal manager please, could you find” combines two request structures awkwardly. There are also issues with articles and sentence boundaries, as in “in a office,” and inconsistent capitalisation of “I.” Aim for clear, complete sentences and practise past-tense forms and polite request structures, such as “Could you please check the reception desk and contact me if you find the papers?”
