Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the main situation and make a request: you say you left important papers at the hotel, explain they are needed for a college application for overseas study, and ask the manager to check your room and send them. However, the location is not stated clearly beyond “my room,” and the request for the manager to send the papers is incomplete because you only say you will provide your address and phone number. The reason for the papers’ importance is relevant but briefly explained. The response also contains 131 words, so it does not meet the 150-word minimum. Add precise details about the meeting, the room or area where the papers may be, and how the manager should contact you.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The ideas follow a broadly sensible order: you describe the hotel visit, explain that the papers were left behind, give their importance, and make a request. This helps the reader understand the purpose of the letter. However, the response is presented as one block, with no clear paragraphing, and several ideas are repeated, especially your worry about the papers. Connections between events are sometimes unclear, as in “Then when we came back to our home i was forget.” Use separate paragraphs for the circumstances, the papers’ importance, and your requested action. Clearer linking phrases and less repetition would create a more consistent progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate the central message, including “important paper,” “college,” and “abroad study.” The reader can understand that the documents are needed for an educational application. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the letter less clear or natural, such as “Yestarday,” “requist,” “submitt,” and “great full.” Some phrases are also awkward, including “I was very scared for that paper” and “I will give you the addres and phone number.” Aim for accurate, conventional expressions for a formal request, and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary for the documents and their purpose would improve clarity and tone.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response mainly uses short, simple statements and attempts to connect events, but grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make the timeline or meaning difficult to follow. For example, “me and my friend visit you hotel” has problems with subject form, tense, and possessive structure, while “I was forget my important paper” uses an incorrect verb construction. There are also errors in articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “This was very important document to submitt my college.” Practise past-tense forms and basic sentence patterns, such as “My friend and I visited your hotel” and “I forgot my papers there.” More accurate sentences would make the request easier to understand.
