Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three required points: you identify room 311D and say the papers were in the room safe, explain that they contain essential company reports, and ask the manager to locate and post them while your company pays the charge. These details make the purpose clear and relevant. The request is polite, and the letter includes a suitable opening. However, the importance of the papers and the circumstances of leaving them are only briefly explained, and the final request for a “positive relay” is unclear. To strengthen the response, specify how the manager can contact you or confirm the mailing address, and develop the papers’ significance more precisely. The task is covered, but some points are less fully developed than others.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a generally clear sequence: you explain your stay and where the papers may be, describe their importance, then make a request. Separate paragraphs help the reader follow these stages, and phrases such as “I believe” and “due to” attempt to connect ideas. Some links are awkward or unclear, however. For example, “due to some work I forgot” does not clearly show the relationship between the work and leaving the papers, while “for this situation” and “a positive relay from your side” make the closing difficult to follow. The ending, “Your,” is also incomplete. Use more direct transitions and finish with a conventional sign-off to make the progression and letter format more controlled.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “room safe,” “essential reports,” “postal service,” and “service charge,” so the reader can understand the main request. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “documets,” “compay,” “appriciaite,” and “comapny” are examples. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “work-related document” when referring to several papers and “positive relay” for a reply. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “business records,” “forward the documents,” and “confirmation” would make the letter sound clearer and more professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including “I am out of town nowadays and I can not come there to collect my paper works due to that I request…”. This shows an effort to explain reasons and make a polite request, but the longer structures are often faulty, and errors sometimes make the message harder to interpret. Examples include “I am writing this letter to inform you that miss to took,” “the room which i satyed,” and “if you willing to help us.” These involve verb forms, clause construction, and missing grammatical elements. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent. Build accuracy with shorter sentences first, then combine ideas using correctly formed clauses, such as “As I am out of town, could you please post the documents to my company?”
