Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three points: you identify the television unit as the place where the papers were left, explain their legal and business importance, and ask the manager to retrieve them and send photographs. These details make the purpose clear and relevant. The explanation of importance is the strongest part, although “my personal detail documents” is vague, and the request to “release all details from that paper” is unclear and may not express what you intend. To develop the response further, specify how the manager should contact you or arrange to return the originals, and clarify exactly what action you want taken. Also use the requested opening, “Dear Sir or Madam,” and a more suitable formal closing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The information follows a generally sensible order: you explain why you are writing, describe where the papers were left, give their importance, and make a request. This gives the letter an overall coherent arrangement. However, the ideas are presented in one continuous block, so paragraphing would make the separate purposes easier to follow. Some links between ideas are also awkward: “Moreover” is joined directly to the preceding sentence, while “because” introduces a reason that is not clearly connected to the request. The reference to “that paper” is also unclear after you have mentioned several documents. Use distinct paragraphs for the circumstances, importance, and requested action, and make references explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “memorandum of association,” “legal rules and regulation,” and “partnership details,” which helps explain why the papers matter. There is also an attempt to use formal language through phrases such as “I am writing this letter to inform you.” However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, including “sumbtion,” “feom,” and “suie.” Some expressions are unnatural or unclear, particularly “release all details from that paper” and “personal detail documents.” Choose more conventional collocations for a hotel request, such as asking the manager to locate, secure, and return the documents. Proofreading spelling and selecting precise terms would make the message more fluent and professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The letter includes both simple statements and attempts at more complex sentences, for example the explanation beginning “because it contains all legal rules” and the sentence describing what happened before bed. The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity and control. In “I have left my documents bag,” the tense and noun phrase need revision; “I left my document bag” is more natural. There are also agreement errors in “documents … it contains” and “business owner can sue me,” as well as missing articles and inconsistent sentence punctuation. The long sentence beginning “On the last night” would be clearer if divided into shorter clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries when editing.
