Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays , education plays a vital role in everyone's life. Most people believe that from primary education to university education takes too much time to learn about any fact but there is not enough practical skills involved. I completely disagree with this statement because nowadays most of schools provide practical knowledge, university also offers internship. I will discuss my viewpoints in upcoming paragraphs.
First and foremost, in these days, technology is growing day by day which is very helpful for study. In schools , teachers show practical related to science and computer which help to enhance learning skills. In past era , there was less internet and computers so mostly students were not able to learn these skills . But nowadays with the help of computer and internet , people can start there own business as well as they can do their study.
Moreover, mostly some courses are related to skills like university offer internship to the children which are beneficial for their future. They can learn new skills and earn money as well. During the internship, they can learn how they can do that work and in future how they can use that skills. They can also learn communication skills when they go anywhere for the practical. For example, in previous time there was less advancement technology and not too much electronic gadgets so people were not enough knowledge regarding anything then they were deprived from knowledge.
In conclusion, from the above discussion I conclude that nowadays most of schools and universities provide practical knowledge to the student which is very helpful for their future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention technology and internships as evidence, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. For example, the point about 'previous time' is mentioned twice but does not effectively contrast with the current educational landscape in a way that fully supports your disagreement. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or elaborate on how practical skills specifically outweigh the need for theoretical facts in a modern context.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction and conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'First and foremost', 'Moreover', 'In conclusion'). Additionally, some transitions between sentences are abrupt, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'they were deprived from knowledge', where the antecedent is vague. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'vital role', 'good', and 'helpful'. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'practical related to science' (should be 'practical experiments') and 'previous time' (should be 'in the past'). While the meaning is clear throughout, the lack of more sophisticated or academic vocabulary limits the score. Try to incorporate more precise terminology related to education and professional development.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally affect readability. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'university also offers'), incorrect preposition usage ('deprived from'), and article errors ('in previous time'). While these errors do not prevent communication, they are persistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency. Increasing the variety of complex sentence structures would also help demonstrate better control.
