Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is often argued that, educational bodies like colleges, schools and universities spend significant time on learning facts but failed to provide enogh priority to practical skills. I completely agree with the statement.
There are several compelling reasons behind learning practical skills like money mangemnt, public speaking, and fitness. The predominant reason is that basic practical skills assist students to get an edge to start a work life. To understad, becuase good coomunication skills, public speaking help students to overcome the fears of stage speaking and people's judgement. These skills, for example, can alone enogh to get a good job, as many studies has stated that most of the people do not get hired becuse of a poor communication skill.
Another important reason is that learning practical skills are way different than reading the same procedures. Furthermore, when students are taught how to swim on a black board, cannot actually help to learn swimmin in reality, similarly when having a hands on experiance can help students to learn the depth of any particular topic faster and better. In Spain, for instance, it is mendatory to finish an a year long internship in order to get graduate. This is not only help students but also the whole cuntry get benefited by having a better youth workforce.
To conclude, I strongly agree that practical skills should be the part of education bodies to help students to learn important skills at an young age. This can lead to a great solution for building a future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in favor of practical skills. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of money management and internships. However, the development is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding communication skills is a bit repetitive, and the example about swimming on a blackboard is slightly simplistic. While the position is clear throughout, the supporting arguments could be more deeply explored to reach a higher band. The response covers all parts of the task, but the depth of analysis is inconsistent, which is characteristic of a Band 6.0 performance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'The predominant reason', 'Furthermore', and 'To conclude'. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by awkward phrasing (e.g., 'To understad, becuase good coomunication skills...'). Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. Overall, the progression of ideas is clear, but the control of cohesive devices is not yet sophisticated enough for a higher band.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'predominant' and 'compelling'. However, there are frequent spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'enogh', 'mangemnt', 'becuase', 'coomunication', 'experiance', 'mendatory', and 'cuntry'. These errors are noticeable and detract from the overall quality of the writing, although they do not prevent the reader from understanding the intended meaning. A wider range of precise vocabulary would be needed for a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'learning practical skills are way different', 'most of the people do not get hired becuse of a poor communication skill') and word order. Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some awkward phrasings that impede the flow. The errors are frequent enough to be noticeable, but they rarely cause significant confusion for the reader. Improving control over basic sentence construction and proofreading for agreement errors would significantly improve the score.
