Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays there is a debate that is been made among youth which is teaching authorities should for spare equal mount of time on practical studies as they do on summarizing facts. In this essay i will discuss both the sides and will give my opinion at the end of the essay.
To start with, Parents believe after spending almost half of their savings in their children education to make sure that their future is secured. More schools and universities focuses more on learning facts as it is an easier way for them to serve education but there are different types of students some of them are quick learners but some of them are not. Practical way of learning makes sure that all the students are watching while learning and it makes easy for them and will keep that thing in their mind for a longer run. Fields like healthcare , nursing , lab technician and many more needs practical training which authorities offer students when they are universities. Not all the students know from an early age what they want to do in future and as most of the practical education is after schools , students make not develop their interest and can choose a wrong field
On the other side, education facilities deny to this as they have to spend more on their resources as a result they wont earn more as how they uses too. Teachers need to work hard and some time it may causes a hazard for the subjects like chemistry as it has acids which is risky
overall i totally agree that education needs to be equally balanced as it has more advantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The essay addresses the prompt by discussing the balance between facts and practical skills. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that practical learning helps retention and is necessary for fields like healthcare, the arguments are not fully extended. The counter-argument regarding costs and safety is mentioned but remains superficial. Additionally, the introduction states you will discuss 'both sides,' which is slightly confusing as the prompt asks for your opinion on whether you agree or disagree. A clearer, more consistent position throughout the essay would improve the score. The conclusion is brief and lacks a summary of the main points discussed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate. For example, the transition 'On the other side' is used, but the connection between the paragraphs could be smoother. There are instances where the flow is interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'education facilities deny to this,' which makes the logical progression feel disjointed at times. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that directly relates to your overall argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. You use some repetitive phrasing, such as 'learning facts' and 'practical,' and there are some errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'teaching authorities should for spare equal mount' (should spare an equal amount) and 'education facilities deny to this' (disagree with this). While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated vocabulary and the presence of errors in word formation limit the score. Expanding your range of academic collocations would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede fluency. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('universities focuses'), incorrect verb forms ('is been made'), and missing articles. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and spacing. While you attempt complex sentences, they are often faulty, which affects the clarity of your arguments. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense consistency and article usage before moving on to more complex structures.
