Student answer (Band 6.0)
As per current scenario, education plays vital role for the career growth in an individual's life. There is an argument going on that all the levels of an education institutions are spending lots of time on theoretical knowledge rather than practical. I strongly agree on this, nowadays theoretical knowledge is not sufficient to survive in the job, practical knowledge should be must which we will help to become successful in career.
Firstly, schools and college or universities should also encourage practical skills along theoretical skills. Practical skills will help student to understand the concept in better ways as well as it will be useful for the job. For example, if school or universities teaches how induction motor works with live working principle, that will assist student to use it in their mechanical field job. By doing this type of practical experiments, student able to understand concepts in more depth, also tried to do more innovation in the existing system. Beneficial for themselves as well as to the organization.
Secondly, by gaining the practical skills in the early age during the school and colleges, students an opportunity to choose career growth in more better ways. They can decide in which they have passion and interest to move forward. For instance, DDIT university, always emphasis more on practical projects and encourage student to do more innovation so that one day student can start their own start up company. This concept not only beneficial to an individual student's life but also advantages for the country's development.
To sum up, educational institution like early school and universities should focus on more practical knowledge rather than book theories. Students get more opportunities for career growth and development with practical skills

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt clearly, maintaining a consistent position throughout. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of induction motors and the benefits of practical innovation. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. While the examples provided are pertinent, they could be expanded with more depth to fully explore the implications of the argument. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and does not fully synthesize the points made. To reach a higher band, ensure that each main point is supported by more detailed explanation and a more robust concluding summary.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'To sum up', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or repetitive, and there are instances where the flow between sentences could be smoother. For example, the connection between the example of the induction motor and the broader point about innovation could be more tightly linked. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the final paragraph is quite brief and lacks a strong concluding statement.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'theoretical knowledge', 'innovation', and 'career growth'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'practical knowledge should be must' (should be a must) and 'in the early age' (at an early age). To improve, the student should focus on using more precise collocations and a wider variety of academic vocabulary to express complex ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('in the early age'), subject-verb agreement ('student able to understand'), and preposition usage. Some sentences are slightly awkward, such as 'education plays vital role for the career growth in an individual's life'. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. Increasing the variety of complex structures while ensuring higher accuracy would help elevate the score.
